Wow! Pleasantly surprised! I was wishing we had a good BBQ in the area. In looking for a place to go for dinner, I found the Links at Chaffey Crossing. The BBQ was outstanding! I ordered a brisket plate with the 5 bean BBQ beans, and potato salad and TX toast, my wife the pulled pork plate, with slaw and fried okra. The restaurant is located on the Chaffey golf course but is very low key and nothing special at all. The "atmosphere" was lacking... they could have at least provided decent disposable silverware but the food more than made up for it.
Accidentally found this small diner after learning The Links at Fort Chaffee golf course was closed due to inclement weather. I am a barbeque fanatic and, hands down, the ribs were the most tender, juicy and flavorful I've ever had! Their pork, chicken and brisket egg rolls...yes egg rolls... were delicious!!! All the sauces were made in house. The server said they even grow their own peppers! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT
very nice staff . Ordered enough for 20 people and they were very knowledgeable about portion size and how to serve my guests. The ribs pulled pork,chicken and brisket was a hit and very delicious. I would recommend to everyone.
We were looking for BBQ on a Sunday. Everyone was closed. We found this place - it did NOT disappoint! Good pricing, too! The most perfect, delicious brisket! Our son has the cheeseburger. He loved it. A must go to place! Can’t wait to go back!
Best BBQ I’ve ever had. The service is always fantastic. Everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is fun for a night out with the boys or dinner with the family! I highly recommend the bbq nachos and a cold beer!
So, my family and I decided to stop in and try The Links at Chaffee Crossing today, partially because we wanted to try something new, but also because we had heard a lot of people’s raving about it as the best barbecue in the River Valley Area on the River Valley Foodies page. After trying it ourselves, though I was cautiously optimistic initially, I must say that it’s a total contender for best barbecue in the River Valley, for sure! Both the cook and the waitress were very friendly, even though they seemed a bit understaffed (and our food still came VERY fast, in spite of it!). And even more importantly, all of our dishes we ordered were great! Even my son’s ”kids burger” that he ordered (pictured) reminded me of something more akin to Patrick’s Butcher Boy Burgers here in town (including the fries, which were hot, crisp, fresh, and deliciously seasoned!), but for that matter, the pulled pork on my wife’s nachos (also pictured) was some of the tenderest, most perfectly smoked, and just all-around melt-in-your-mouth pulled pork I’ve ever had! What else can I say about the food??? I thought my hot links (also pictured) were spot-on and super satisfying (and all of our dishes came at a GREAT price!), and the house barbecue sauces they provided (also pictured) were each distinctive and delicious in their own ways! All I can say is, if you haven’t tried this place yet, you owe it to yourself to give it a try! My family and I will be going back! They’re ripping themselves off for the quality of food and service they’re providing at this price point!
